One of my favourite things about visiting shrines & temples is collecting these seals / stamps in what is known as a goshuin-cho. The monk or priest will write in your book for just 300 yen, usually while you watch them, it can be a mesmerising experience. I've completed 3 goshuin-cho now but the pages from Ryoanji (I have two) are still my favourite by far.
I disassembled the various elements this morning.. : )
